One of our main goals at Cavanaugh Pet Hospital is to give your pet a long and healthy

life.  Watch your pet for changes in appetite and activity.  Be aware of lumps and

bumps.  Be vigilant in annual exams.  While there are some variations, cats and small

dogs are generally considered senior at age 7.  Larger breed dogs tend to have shorter

life spans and are often considered senior at 5 or 6 years of age.  Your vet can guide

you about your dog or cat and her specific age-related changes.   Click the red button

Cancer accounts for almost

half of the deaths of pets over

10 years of age.
